Quinton is now retired from civilian life and resides in Dallas Georgia. We look for-ward to hearing more of Quinton’s experiences in the “middle battalion” years. Happy 70th birthday to Quinton in September this year!

COL Glenn Kennedy, Commander of the 17th from July 2004 until it’s deactiviation in September 2006, joined the Association as member #568. COL Kennedy recently left the Pentagon and took command of the Garrison at Fort Gordon Georgia. We hope to have Glenn and wife Angela join us at the 2010 reunion in Baltimore to relate his experiences in the Battalion during both Iraq (second battalion deployment) and the deactivation. Glenn has promised articles on those events for future newsletters.

James J. Clindist, SSG USA Retired and his wife Elaina, join us from Henderson Nevada. James served in both the 17th and the 440th. He served in the Army from December 1972 to June 1994 so is a relative “youngster.” We look forward to hearing more about Jim’s time in these two illustrious units as that time of our history is a little light! James, check out the 440th reunion info on page 3—sounds like it might be in your neck of the woods!

Stephen D. Rogers served as a SP4 in the Regular Army with the 17th Signal Battalion and then as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves from 1960-1963. Stephen and his wife Lea now live in Reno Nevada and found us on the web while checking to see if the 17th Sig-nal Battalion was still an active unit. Glad to have you join us and we look forward to seeing you at the next or future reunions!

Welcome to William & Patricia Black from Little Neck NY who joined our Association in October 2009. William served with the 17th from 06-61—04-65 as a Sergeant. William is member number 571 and we look forward to seeing him and Patricia in Baltimore in 2010—as it is just a couple miles down 95 from NY!

Welcome to Richard & Gail Constant from Framingham MA who joined the Association in January 2010. Richard served with A Co, 69th in Long Bin Viet Nam (outside of Saigon) in 1966. Richard and Gail then moved to Pruem Germany with the 447th Signal Battalion. While there from 66—69, he commanded HHD, 447th and Company A 447th which had the single side band radio communications for various classified sites in Germany, The Nether-lands and Belgium. Richard retired in 1974 and pursued a career in insurance. Richard got interested in our group after seeing Bill Moore (our recruiter) in a diner in New Jersey with a 17th Signal Battalion pin on his cap! It pays to advertise and Bill makes a great walking bill-board! From Framingham to the 2010 reunion site in Baltimore—a short trip for our newest members!
