Comments from
his Daughter June Wood. Daddy died in Columbus,GA at Spring Harbor, a retirement
community, well-cared for and well-loved. He died of complications from pneumonia
(from aspirating particles of food and drink), and of course, I am sure his MS
contributed. He regretted not being able to get to his 17th reunions nor his
West Point ones. He did, though, go on an Honor Flight, Columbus' first, to DC,
for the day, with 100 WWII vets and their guardians, to view the WWII memorial,
among other things. He survived his wife, Betty by 5 years and 2 mos., and
did pretty well, although confined to a motorized wheelchair. He was a wonderful,
wonderful person.

I know there are many photos of Dad and Mom enjoying themselves while serving
